Potential Tutors
Are you interested in being a tutor?
- All tutors must have completed ENGL 101 with an A or a high B. (A second composition class is preferable.)
- Tutors must have two letters of recommendation (or e-mails will do) from faculty members to attach to the completed application form. One must be from a Composition faculty member.
- All tutors share an interest in working with others and developing their own writing skills.
- Many tutors take ENGL 205: Writing Theory and Practice (2 credits), which provides training and supervision during tutoring.
- Tutors must take responsibility to work independently on projects related to the Writing Center.
- Tutors are expected to act professionally, to support the mission of the faculty, and support one another in their work.
