Telephone Costs

 

All students will be charged a Communications

Fee for:

• access to telephone equipment in several

campus locations

• full voice mail authorization from home

or from campus

• easy access to emergency messages

while on campus

• ability for faculty to leave voicemail

for whole class or for individual students

 

Tuition, fees and charges are subject to

change by action of the University

Board of Trustees.

 

NOTE:

 

Student Telephone problems should be reported through the Online TechSupport database.

 

Student telephone bills are printed the first business day after the 15th of each month and sent out as soon as possible.

Payments are due within 10 days.

TO: All Users of the Campus Telephone System

Subject: Fraudulent Telephone Use

 

The Office of Telecommunications would like to advise all users of the campus telephone system that fraudulent use of telephone service is a misdemeanor under the Penal Codes of New York and is punishable by up to one-year imprisonment and / or $1000.00 fine.

 

The Telecommunications Office will prosecute anyone found guilty of abuse and /or fraudulent use of telephone service. This includes obtaining or attempting to obtain, or assisting another to obtain long distance service by rearranging, tampering with or making connection with any facilities of telephone service, including wiring and authorization codes with the intent to avoid payment of regular charge for such service.

 

Additionally, any misuse of a telephone, which is intended to cause annoyance or alarm to any other person, is a Class A Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of one-year imprisonment.
