The Hierarchy of Strategic Intent
The process used to construct this document created a “Hierarchy of Strategic Intent.” At
the top of the hierarchy is the organization’s Vision and Mission, both of which should
be long-lasting and motivating. At the bottom of the hierarchy are the projects and
short-term tactics that faculty and staff members will use to achieve the Mission.
Anyone inquiring as to why a SUNY Cobleskill representative is taking some action
should be able to look up the hierarchy to find the reasoning. If seeking to
determine how SUNY Cobleskill will accomplish something, one should be
able to look down the hierarchy to determine the method of effecting the
higher levels of the pyramid. |
