Are you thinking of a career in Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable Development, Food Systems and Related Technology, Fisheries and Wildlife, Culinary Arts or Hospitality and Tourism? In any of these fields, knowledge of Spanish and Hispanic culture is extremely important.
Would you like to study Spanish in very small classes, earn college credit, live with a warm, inviting family and practice your new language skills in a field experience tied to your academic major?
Have you considered doing an internship in a country often described as an ecological paradise?
Why not think about enrolling in SUNY Cobleskill's Spanish Language Immersion Program in Costa Rica?
The program is based at Conversa Language Institute in Santa Ana, a lovely town approximately 20 minutes from San Jose. Students earn 3 credits in Spanish and can receive 12-15 credits toward a bachelor's degree in an approved internship after the four-week language study phase is completed.
Participation in the language study portion only of this program does not require prior knowledge of Spanish.
