Student Computer Accounts: Blackboard Account
|
Blackboard (Bb) is a web-based course management system (CMS) that allows instructors to build a place on the web for their courses. It also allows you access to course materials anytime and anywhere you can get to the Internet. Some instructors will have all their course information in Blackboard—the syllabus, assignments, links, documents, etc. Others may use it for only one or two parts of the course. You should always check with your instructors to make sure you understand how Blackboard will be used. A Blackboard account has been established for each student. To login to Blackboard: · Click the Blackboard link from the SUNY Cobleskill homepage -- or type in the following web address from an Internet browser: http://blackboard2.cobleskill.edu/ · Click Login and enter your NetworkAccountUsername · Your initial Bb password is your 800 ID number (NOT your network account password) · If you wish to change your Blackboard password (many students prefer to use the same password as their network account), Click Personal Information, and click Change Password – enter your new password and confirm it in the designated boxes. Note: Do not assume that because you are registered for a class that you will also be automatically enrolled in a corresponding Blackboard course. This course management tool requires enrollment in respective courses. This can be done either by the student or the instructor – check with your instructor for instruction.
