Blackboard is a web-based course management system (CMS) that allows instructors to build a place on the Web for their courses.  It also allows students to have access to course materials anytime and anywhere you can get to the Internet.  Some instructors will have all their course information in Blackboard—the syllabus, assignments, links, documents, grade book, etc.  Others may use it for only one or two parts of the course.  Students should always check with instructors to make sure they understand how instructors will use Blackboard. 

Faculty requesting Blackboard courses should send an e-mail to tanj@cobleskill.edu listing the course number, title and course description as they appear in the college catalog.

To log in to Blackboard:

• Go to the Blackboard entry page:  http://blackboard2.cobleskill.edu

• Login with your Bb username (the same as your network account username)

• Your Bb password/pin is your 800 ID number until you change it.   See ITS Services: Accounts & Passwords for information on changing your Blackboard Password.
