Student Alumni: 

Over the years, ITS has employed a number of students. This arrangement has been mutually beneficial, providing ITS with assistance and providing our students with valuable on-the-job training.  The following are some of our student alumni:

Dan Sidebottom was a student at Cobleskill from 1976 to 1977, graduating with an Associate in Computer Science.  In 1995 he received his Bachelor degree in Information Technology Management.   Having worked as a student  in the Computer Center, he started at Cobleskill as a Computer Operator and held numerous positions, including Interim Director, until his departure in December 2000.  Dan is now the Director of Administrative Computing Services at SUNY Cortland and recently received the 2003 Educause Award for Excellence in Networking.  Daniel.Sidebottom@mail.cortland.edu

 
David Loring graduated in 1998 with a BT in Agriculture.  After serving an internship in ITS in 1998, David was hired as a  full-time Technician.   He was promoted and currently serves as the Supervisor of Network Services. 

 
Rob Barr graduated in December 1997 with an Associate Degree in Microcomputer Support.  Rob completed his BT in Network Administration in December 2003.  Rob worked as a student and Assistant  Lab Manager at SUNY Cobleskill from 1995 to 1997.  He was hired as a Student Technician in ITS in 1997 and was later promoted and is currently a Computer Hardware Specialist.
Zendra Frazer Barr graduated in December 1997 with an Associate Degree in Computer Programming.  Zendra worked as an Assistant Lab Manager and as the Distance Learning Coordinator, later being appointed as the DL Technical Assistant.  In 1998, Zendra was appointed as a Programmer/Analyst, and has been promoted to Senior Programmer Analyst.

Mathew Boardway worked as a Helpdesk Assistant Spring/Fall 99,  as well as an ITS/Dorm Technician Fall 99/Spring 2000, and  worked fulltime as an intern Summer 2000.

David Vogt: 8/06 has been accepted to Virginia Tech.

Shaun Allen:  Fall 2006 transferred to SUNYIT in Utica with an intended major in Computer Engineering Technology and a minor in Computer information Systems.
