Electronic mail is the official means of communication at SUNY Cobleskill.  It is imperative that students check their campus e-mail accounts on a regular basis to be sure that they don't miss out on vital information.  The easiest method for reading campus e-mail is Outlook web access.

• Requirements for Connection to Residence Hall Network:   Requirements for personal computers to connect to SUNY Cobleskill’s campus network. 
• Residence Hall Network Login:  The process students in residence halls will follow to connect their personal computers to SUNY Cobleskill's network. 
• Room Changes:  Students should follow Residential Life instructions for changing rooms.  Once approved and the room move accomplished, students should complete the Residence Hall Network Login in their new rooms.

You are responsible for your network account, your network port, and your personal computer.

 All network account holders are required to use the campus network in accordance with the Authorized Use of Campus Computing Resources Policy (Computer Resources Policy).  Abuse of a network account may result in disciplinary sanctions.  Failure to comply with Port Registration Requirements may result in the disabling of the residence network ports as well as disciplinary sanctions.

Failure to read the Computer Resources Policy and/or lack of understanding is no excuse for offenses.  Do not share your account or your residence network port with anyone else – you will be held responsible for someone else’s activities on your network account or residence network port.
