NYS Legal Holidays for 2006

The Department of Civil Service has provided this office with the following listing of the days that have been designated as legal holidays by New York State for the 2005 calendar year. Information regarding college operations as affected by holiday observances and negotiated employment agreements will be communicated by Dr. Haas and the Office of Human Resources sufficiently in advance of each holiday to provide for necessary staffing arrangements.

  1. New Year's Day falls on a Sunday and is observed on the following Monday.
  2. Sunday holidays are observed on the following Monday. NYS offices will be open on this legal holiday. The State has designated a floating holiday for employees represented by CSEA, PEF, UUP, and M/C, to be used later at their choice.
