Technology is part of our modern world. The mathematics faculty at SUNY Cobleskill have carefully integrated technology (calculators and computers) into the total curriculum which emphasizes applications and problem-solving. Technology is used
- to enhance the learning of mathematics
- as a tool in the problem-solving process
Computer technology is an integral part of several of our courses. You do not need to have a computer. Computer access is available at several locations on campus in order to complete assignments, etc. Software and activities used in these courses include the following:
- Minitab: a statistical package used in Statistics
- Maple: another computer algebra system
- Activities including use of Power Point presentations, Blackboard, Internet, and E-mail
- TI-83 Plus
