Program Highlights
  • Our faculty of eight full-time members bring a wealth of experience from working in the industry.
  • More than $3,000,000 worth of state-of-the-art equipment supports instruction in the Agricultural Engineering Technology Department.
  • Instructional facilities are housed in a modern 33,000 square foot technical center with 10 specialized laboratories located on one of the largest college agricultural complexes of any two-year college in the nation.
  • A wide variety of courses serve all agricultural programs. For example, 50 % of the welding students come from other departments. Many students taking Small Engines and Surveying courses are from the Plant Science Department and many of the students in structures are from the Animal Science Department.
  • Opportunities for hands-on, applied education through extensive use of the college farm and campus.
  • Clean, efficient working conditions; safety and work ethics are emphasized.
  • Over 100 students are enrolled in 40 courses offered by the department.
  • An active Agricultural Engineering Club - activities include trips to major manufacturers' facilities, speakers, and community service projects.
